What is CIF ?

CIF is Banking Term used to identify the Customer. its Customer Identification Number (CIF).
CIF in Banking

In Core Banking Solution its impossible to find the customer between branches.

Its impossible for branch to find a customer holding multiple account with other address proof's.

Then How to find them in other branches??? and other Bank??. Its Really hard.

The Only available system to search for a customer is

  • Customer Name and Address matching.
What if they have used different name? or different spelling?.

CIF System is most widely and strictly followed by State Bank Group Banks 
  • State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ)
  • State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH)
  • State Bank of India (SBI)
  • State Bank of Mysore (SBM)
  • State Bank of Patiala (SBP)
  • State Bank of Travancore (SBT)
  • All State bank groups 
Its a 11 Digit Number Printed on the Front page of New account passbook. You cannot Find it any where else.
